Let's explore the different aspects of Panama's rich history through Plaza Herrera and its surroundings! First, we’ll visit the iconic Church of La Merced with its Spanish façade, and witness centuries of European cultural influence all around the building. Inside, we’ll also observe multiple artifacts preserved in the Church's museum, along with one of the most extensive nativity scenes open to the public in the entire city.

Next, we’ll visit the vibrant Plaza Herrera and learn about the highlights of its history. This trip would take us from its origins after a mayor fire to the events that occurred in it during the 21st century. Later, we’ll bridge modern and colonial times with the Native American past of the nation with a visit to the Museum of the Mola, home of the artistic textiles from that indigenous culture. Finally, we will enjoy a refreshing and delicious beverage, iconic in Panamanian culture.
